The packed spray tower creates intensive contact between the exhaust gas and scrubbing liquid. Selected chemicals absorb, neutralise or remove water-soluble and odorous contaminants.
It can operate continuously or intermittently and is commonly used as a stand-alone gas-cleaning stage or as pre-treatment before advanced emission-control equipment.
